Hello! My name is Tanya Barr (she/her) and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, located in Vancouver, BC. Having struggled with my own mental health in my teen years and early adulthood, I understand what it’s like to feel stuck. Often we want to make changes in our own life but our body and our mind are holding us back. I understand the feeling of it all being harder than it should be. For some people, events occur that can trigger these types of feelings (ending of a relationship, death of a loved one, a traumatic event) but others can feel this way, without understanding why. Sometimes there can be past events that we thought we had processed, but instead they keep coming up and having an emotional hold on us.
